Overview

PEC is a full service structural engineering consulting firm.  W. Fred Palmer, Jr. founded the company in 1976 and nurtured it until his recent retirement.  In 2010 we are celebrating our 27th year in business as Palmer Engineering Company, Inc.  We offer extensive experience in design of new buildings of all shapes and sizes, and in assessment and design for renovations and adaptive reuse of modern and historic buildings.  Much of our work has a community focus – check out our experience with churches, libraries, schools, museums and galleries.

Engineering Challenges

We enjoy unique projects with uncommon challenges and multiple materials, and we also design unusual structures such as large outdoor sculpture and signage.  PEC does no advertising and very little marketing – our client base consists of repeat business and referrals.  Instead we focus our efforts on the quality of our work and our customer service, and on the quality of our staff and our work environment and benefits.  We hope that you will take a few minutes to explore our new and growing web site, and to contact us at info@pecga.com if we can answer any questions.
